"St Sofia" Church
"Sveta Sofia" church and the church "St. George" are the two oldest churches in Sofia dating from the Roman era. It was built by Emperor Justinian in the VI century. Below it were discovered tombs from I-IV century BC. It is known that three churches were built in this place before this church. "Sveta Sofia" is the symbol of the city. The church has given it's name and can be found on it's crest.
